SPORT

All children are encouraged to participate in sporting activities as part of the regular Physical Education curriculum. Opportunities are presented for children to participate in a range of sporting activities at the local district level and to gain selection in regional representative teams.

Swimming lessons are conducted during term 1. The students travel by bus to the local pool. There are costs incurred for bus transport, pool hire and swimming tuition. These fees are additional to school fees and levies.

Two sporting teams: Penola and MacKillop are the school sport houses. Students at St Joseph’s compete in the school teams at the small school athletics and swimming carnival.
